STORIES & REFLECTIONS

Stories That Help
Us Look Again

This is where my regular Notice More writings will live the same type of thoughtful posts I currently publish on Facebook.

Most of my writing starts with something I experience or notice: a memory, a photograph, a conversation, something from my childhood, marriage, family, the Marines, getting older, traveling, a stranger I meet, or simply something I see during the day.

I then take that experience and reflect on what it might teach us about life.

For example, I might see an old shed and write about the emotional things we store and carry with us. I might photograph a rock standing in the ocean and write about resilience. I might remember something from my childhood and use it to explore how our past continues to influence who we are today.
