Notice More

ABOUT DENNIS

I’m not writing Notice More because I have life figured out.

I'm writing it because I've lived long enough to realize how much of my life I didn't fully appreciate while it was happening.

I've been poor.

I've been a Marine.

I've been a husband, father, grandfather, heavy-equipment operator, real estate broker, businessman, investor, writer, and traveler.

I've succeeded at things.

I've failed at things.

I've started over more than once.

And somewhere along the way, I became much more interested in understanding life than simply getting through it.

At this stage of my life, I find myself paying attention to things I once walked right past.

A conversation.
A memory.
A child discovering something for the first time.
An old photograph.
A stranger.
A difficult experience that looks different when viewed years later.

Those are the things I write about.I don't expect everyone to see life the way I do.

I simply hope something I notice causes you to notice something in your own life.
